Let's now move towards the checklist of maintenance.

Checklist for Car Maintenance

Here is a complete checklist for the maintenance of your car:

  1. Have you checked the level of oil and coolant?

After every few months, especially when you are planning to leave for a long trip, it is suggested to check your car's oil along with the quantity of coolant. If any of them is lower than the required level, get it fixed at once. Meanwhile, you may consider this type of maintenance after 3-5 months under normal circumstances.

  1. Have you made sure of the pressure in tires and the depth of threads?

Maintenance of tires can keep you safe from unexpected accidents like the bursting of tires. Before you start your journey, make sure that tires have the required air pressure in them. Moreover, consult your mechanic to check the depth of threads of tires after every one month because the threads are imperative to make a firm grip on the road.

  1. Have you noticed the working of the headlights, brakes, and signals?

Once a month, take a break to check whether your car's headlights are working correctly or not. Open the headlights and carefully inspect since there might be some problem inside. Besides, check if your breaks and signals are functional or not.

  1. Have you rotated the tires?

Rotation of tires is significant to ensure the health of tires. After every 6-8 months, consider the rotation of your tires.

  1. Have you cleaned or replaced the air filter?

If the air filter is doing its job correctly, it will increase the fuel's efficiency and engine's life and reduce emissions. It is because the air filter controls the air entering the engine and keeps it clean.
